Close Scrutiny Guide Assessor Loot, Solo Tactics & Strategies
Close Scrutiny is the highest-value Flashpoint raid condition if you can handle noise, reinforcements, and contested containers. It cuts down general loot and turns one ARC event into the center of the match.
What ARC Operations Are
Close Scrutiny is the first widely discussed ARC Operation condition. Instead of sprinkling value across the map, it concentrates the best rewards into a single encounter anchored by the Assessor. That means lower background loot, higher pressure, and a much more predictable PvP hotspot.

Assessor Encounter Step by Step
1. Watch for the landing and red skybeam
The Assessor announces itself clearly. If you see the beam early, you can choose whether to set up an ambush, approach for a stealth breach, or rotate away before the lobby arrives.
2. Wait for the legs to fan out
The three loot compartments only become breachable after the Assessor fully settles. Breaching too early wastes time and leaves you exposed.
3. Breach and expect the alarm to flip the fight
Once a container opens, you are no longer dealing with a quiet objective. Reinforcements come in, Vaporizers pressure the space, and nearby Raiders usually start collapsing in.
4. Leave with a route already planned
The fastest wipe path is greed. Know whether you are stealing one box, syncing all three with a squad, or holding the area for a second cycle before the first breach even starts.
Loot Table
Headline Drops
- Dolabra blueprint
- Assessor Matrix
- Advanced ARC materials
- High-end components and ammo
Why It Matters
- Best current Dolabra farm
- Feeds High-Gain Antenna Stage 2
- One of the most consistent Flashpoint value spikes
- Creates predictable PvP and ARC overlap
Solo Stealth Strategy
Solo play is absolutely viable if you stop trying to full-clear every time. The cleanest solo pattern is Lure Grenade, single breach, instant disengage.
- •Use a Lure Grenade or noise source to pull patrol attention away from the container you want.
- •Commit to one box unless the area is already dead and uncontested.
- •Use Photoelectric Cloak to break the post-breach line of sight and rotate immediately.
- •Let greedier teams trigger the second wave, then punish the reset if you still need another attempt.
Squad Strategy
Full teams have the option solo players usually cannot take: three-container synchronization. That maximizes loot, but it also maximizes the volume of ARC and the chance another squad hears the breach.
- •Assign one player to each container and one flex role to track Raider angles.
- •Call Vaporizer shield states clearly so anti-ARC weapons are not wasted into protection.
- •Decide before the breach whether you are holding the Assessor or looting and rotating immediately.

Best Flashpoint Kit
Canto + Dolabra or Hullcracker + Surge Coil + Photoelectric Cloak
Why It Works
You need one weapon for Raider pressure, one answer for Vaporizers, and one escape or denial tool for the breach itself.
Risk / Reward Compared With Other Events
Compared with Bird City, Hidden Bunker, or Locked Gate, Close Scrutiny is more concentrated and more explosive. The upside is better, but there is less low-stress looting and far less room for sloppy extractions.
