Server crash vs client crash — why it matters

Server-side crash (AREX errors, mass outage): Embark can initiate a rollback because the server has a record of your last known state. Your loadout is more likely to be restored.

Client-side crash (game freezes, PC crash, force-closed): Your character remains alive on the server. ARC enemies will kill your now-unresponsive character. Whether you recover loot depends on how fast you can reconnect.

The reconnect window — act fast
