How to Fix Arc Raiders Stuttering, Low FPS, and Audio Lag

If you're seeing low FPS, stutters, or audio lag in Arc Raiders, try disabling overlays, forcing exclusive fullscreen, and (on AMD) resetting the shader cache.

Disable the Discord & Steam In-Game Overlays

Overlays can cause frame hitches and audio desync. Discord: User Settings → Activity Settings → In Game Overlay → turn Enable in-game overlay OFF. Steam: Steam → Settings → In-Game → uncheck “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game” for Arc Raiders (or globally). Restart the game after changing either.

Force Exclusive Fullscreen

Borderless window can add latency and stutter. In Arc Raiders graphics or display settings, set the mode to Exclusive Fullscreen (or Fullscreen) instead of Borderless or Windowed. This often improves frame pacing and reduces audio lag.

Reset AMD Shader Cache

On AMD GPUs, a corrupted or bloated shader cache can cause stuttering. Open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, go to the settings or tuning section, and find the option to Reset Shader Cache (or clear cache). Run the reset, then restart the PC and launch Arc Raiders again. The game will recompile shaders on first load, which may take a few minutes.
