How to Fix Arc Raiders Easy Anti-Cheat Error 30005

Error 30005 and “CreateService failed with 32” mean the Easy Anti-Cheat service file is locked or corrupted. Use Safe Mode to delete the corrupted file, then run the repair tool.

Delete the Corrupted EAC.sys File in Safe Mode

When the EAC driver is locked (often by antivirus or a failed update), you need to remove it in Safe Mode so the system is not using it.

  1. Press Win+R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
  2. Open the Boot tab, check Safe Boot, select Minimal, then click OK and restart the PC when prompted.
  3. After the PC restarts in Safe Mode, open File Explorer and go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS
  4. Delete the file EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys. If you get an error, ensure you are in Safe Mode and that no other program has the folder open.
  5. Press Win+R, type msconfig, open the Boot tab, uncheck Safe Boot, click OK, and restart the PC normally.

Then run the Command Prompt repair tool below or launch Arc Raiders so EAC can reinstall the service.

After removing the corrupted file (or if you prefer to try repair first), run the official EAC repair from an elevated Command Prompt.

  1. Right-click the Start button and select Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Run: cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS"
  3. Then run: EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe repair
  4. Wait for the repair to finish, then restart the PC and launch Arc Raiders again.

If the folder path is different on your system (e.g. Epic install), navigate to the EasyAntiCheat_EOS folder inside your Arc Raiders game directory and run the same EasyAntiCheat_EOS.exe repair from there.
