System overview

How feeding works

Feed Scrappy specific foods to get a bonus item roll and guaranteed base materials after each qualifying raid.

Dual reward tracks

Each food triggers two effects per qualifying raid: a Feeding Reward (one roll on a food-specific loot pool) and a Resource Bonus (flat +5 of a specific base material).

The 6-minute rule

You must spend >6 minutes in-raid for feeding rewards to resolve. Longer raids do not improve odds. Extract or die — both work after the threshold.

Queue system

Up to 6 foods queued, processed in order. Front-load your highest-priority food. One food consumed per qualifying raid.

Common failures

Getting nothing? Check three things: raid was under 6 minutes, food was not committed in the UI, or your collection box is full. Clear it between runs.

Gameplay loop

The optimal feeding cycle

Short, consistent 7-minute cycles beat marathon raids. More rolls = more chances at rare drops.

Step 1 Set a crafting goal — decide what you are chasing
Step 2 Queue 6 foods in priority order (best food in slot 1)
Step 3 Enter raid — farm food sources / do objectives
⏱️ Has 6+ minutes passed?
Step 4 Extract or die — both trigger the feeding reward
Step 5 Claim rewards — clear collection box, refill queue, repeat

Acquisition

Where to farm each food

The most efficient gathering routes and conditions for keeping your queue stocked. Plan routes using our map rotation and map conditions pages when you are chasing specific weather.

🧺 Wicker baskets — best overall Recommended

Wicker baskets contain all fruit types and appear more often during Lush Blooms and Cold Snap conditions. They are the most consistent one-stop shop for stocking your queue without hunting individual nodes.

🏛️ Stella Montis cafeteria Go-to route

Consistently referenced as the most reliable basket farming spot. Multiple fruits and mushrooms in one run.

  1. Spawn into Stella Montis, route toward the Atrium/Cafeteria area
  2. Find a fuel cell or battery and power the cafeteria storage door
  3. Loot the baskets inside (often 2+ baskets with mixed fruit)
  4. Stall safely until the 6-minute mark if needed
  5. Extract and claim rewards

🌳 Blue Gate olive grove Apricot / Lemon / Olives

Dense fruit-tree area for ground fruit + tree interactions (shake for 1–3 extra). Strong for Apricots and Lemons. Olive trees concentrated here. Be aware: this is a known PvP hotspot with long sightlines.

🍄 Dam battlegrounds Mushrooms

Water treatment pipes, hydroponic planters, and swamp-adjacent trees. Supplement with baskets during Lush Blooms for high-consistency mushroom stocking.

🌵 Cacti spawns Prickly Pear

1–3 fruit under specific cactus shapes. Spawns are not guaranteed every run. Plan multiple check spots or rely on basket farming as a backup.

🍹 Fruit Mix — craft in-raid

Combine 1 Lemon + 1 Apricot + 1 Prickly Pear using in-raid crafting. Cannot be crafted in the lobby. Best saved for sessions where you will chain multiple qualifying raids.

Common questions

FAQ

QDo longer raids give better feeding odds?

No. ~6 minutes is the threshold. After that, raid length does not affect your bonus roll. Short, consistent runs maximize rolls per hour.

QDoes dying vs extracting matter?

No. After the 6-minute threshold, both extraction and death trigger the feeding reward equally.

QWhy did Scrappy eat my food but I got nothing?

Three common causes: you ended the raid before 6 minutes, you did not properly commit the food in the UI (check the circles), or your collection box was full and blocking deliveries.

QCan Scrappy drop blueprints or weapons?

No. Published pool breakdowns confirm feeding drops only items — materials, equipment, consumables, and tools. No blueprints, no weapons. For unlock requirements elsewhere, see our full Arc Raiders blueprints guide.

QCan Fruit Mix be crafted in the lobby?

No. Fruit Mix must be crafted during a match using in-raid crafting. It costs 1 Lemon + 1 Apricot + 1 Prickly Pear.

QDo I need specific blueprints unlocked for reactor drops?

This is unconfirmed. Some community sources claim a blueprint prerequisite for reactors, but the reverse-engineered pool data lists them without a dependency condition. Cross-check with our blueprints database for general unlock rules.

QAre there other feedable fruits like hazelnuts or peaches?

No. The feeding system uses exactly 7 items: Agave, Apricot, Lemon, Mushroom, Olives, Prickly Pear, and Fruit Mix. Other fruit names referenced online are either legacy items or mislabeling.
