Hurricane Map Condition
A devastating Hurricane has struck the Rust Belt, introducing an entirely new dynamic to Arc Raiders gameplay. This new map condition challenges Raiders with battering winds, flying debris that actively degrades your shield protection, and drastically reduced visibility.
The Hurricane is similar in concept to Cold Snap — it forces Raiders to change how they play. You'll need to find cover, which leads to more indoor fights and close-quarters encounters. First Wave Raider Caches have been unearthed along the surface, offering high-value loot for Raiders brave enough to face the storm.

Hurricane mechanics
Wind direction — Tailwinds make you faster; headwinds drain stamina and slow you down. Throwables like grenades behave differently; smoke, gas, and jumping are affected.
Shield — Debris makes your shield glitch and spark, degrading protection and making you visible. You can remove your shield to move stealthily but take more damage.
Low visibility cuts both ways: ARC like the Comet can surprise you, but other Raiders also struggle to spot you. Check ArcMaps.com for First Wave Cache spawn locations and cover points.
New ARC Enemies: Firefly & Comet
Two new ARC machines join the surface: the Firefly and the Comet, alongside existing threats like the Hornet, Arc Hunter, and Matriarch.
The Firefly
A floating armored machine that emits a devastating jet of flame. Heavily armored on front thrusters and the bottom of the rear thrusters. The top of the rear thrusters and a yellow canister weak point are critical hit zones. Unlike the Hornet, you can't easily get a clean shot from below.
The Comet
A spherical ARC that patrols until it detects a Raider, then locks on and detonates with a seismic boom. Can jump-scare you out of the fog during Hurricane with zero visibility.

Firefly combat tip
Target the top of the rear thrusters (unarmored) or the yellow canister for critical damage. Avoid shooting from directly below. Check ArcMaps.com for high-ground positions near ARC patrol routes.
Weather Monitoring System
The Hurricane caught Speranza off guard. Shani will task Raiders with collecting materials to build a weather monitoring system — a new community project to predict future weather events.
Contribute materials from topside to build the system and earn exclusive rewards: skins, backpack attachments, coins, and possibly blueprints. Similar to previous expedition projects.

Expedition 2 — What You Need to Know
The second Arc Raiders expedition is on the horizon. With a reset approaching, now is the time to prepare. Expedition requirements include contributing 3 million in resources. If you couldn't afford the first expedition, you can chip in additional funds to earn the points you missed before the reset.

The Surgeon Raider Deck is available for free with the Shrouded Sky update. Unlock the Surgeon cosmetic outfit by spending Cred earned from completing Feats topside. The deck also unlocks the Full Beard facial hair option.

Facial Hair Customization
Raiders can now customize with facial hair. Stubble is immediately available to all players. Full Beard unlocks through the Surgeon Raider Deck. Stubble Beard and Thick Moustache will be available in the store starting February 24.

Dam Battlegrounds Map Update
A new high-security area in Dam Battlegrounds: the Controlled Access Zone. High-value loot area — you'll know you've arrived when you spot the Rocketeer chandelier overhead. This adds to the Dam Staff Room, Dam Surveillance zone, and Dam Control Tower.
