How the Forgotten Relics Event Works
The following mechanics are confirmed by Embark's official Live Update 1.33.0 post:
- •Merits from XP: Merits are automatically converted from the XP you earn playing on any map.
- •Merits from relics: additional Merits come from relics scattered Topside and tucked away in containers like lockers, drawers, and crates.
- •Rarity scales value: each relic carries a different Merit value depending on its rarity.
- •Extract to claim: you must successfully extract with a relic in hand to claim its Merits.
- •Rewards: progressing the event unlocks the Saltwalker Outfit and its toggles — and Merits also count toward the Converging Paths project.
Relic Values & Merit Track
The official post confirms relic value scales with rarity but does not list each relic. The values below are reported by outlet guides (Beebom, PC Gamer) and are not in the official post — treat as community-sourced.
| Relic | Rarity | Merit Value |
|---|---|---|
| Train Model | Common | 10 |
| Sextant | Uncommon | 15 |
| Vintage Steering Wheel | Uncommon | 15 |
| Equatorial Sundial | Rare | 25 |
| Colorful Shoes | Rare | 25 |
| Tellurion | Epic | 50 |
| Colorful Shoes (Epic) | Epic | 50 |
| Elephant Obelisk | Legendary | 150 |
| Colorful Shoes (Legendary) | Legendary | 150 |
The Merit reward track reaches its top cosmetics around 3,150 Merits, with the Saltwalker Outfit unlocking early (~150 Merits) and Raider Tokens, Saltwalker customizations, backpack charms, and emotes spread across the track.
Converging Paths Project
Merits earned through Forgotten Relics feed the seasonal Converging Paths community project, which runs June 16 through July 27. It asks Raiders to secure safe passage for the nomads, gather supplies, and recover relics from Topside; each completed stage advances a Display Case showing the recovered relics.
Completing the project rewards the Red-Black color variant of the Saltwalker Outfit, a Sextant backpack charm, and Raider Tokens — bringing the season's total earnable to 300.
Stage-by-Stage Requirements & Rewards
Embark's official post confirms the project name, dates, goal, and final reward summary — but does not list every stage's materials. The table below is from outlet guides (Beebom, PC Gamer, AllThings.How). Stage 2's ARC Thermo Lining count is disputed across outlets — marked TBC.

Trending Forgotten Relics Terms, Explained
As players grind the event, several ARC Raiders terms are spiking in search. Here's what each one actually is — and whether it's part of the 1.33.0 event.
Turbine / Turbine Spawn
A massive airborne ARC machine that lands to deploy protective landmines. It drops Turbine Compressors and gives large Trial scores when damaged. Not new to 1.33.0, but heavily farmed right now because the Converging Paths project needs Turbine Compressors and other components.
Arc Thermo Lining
A rare recyclable material dropped by fire-based ARC enemies (Fireflies, Fireball Burners), used to generate Fabric for crafting. Required for Converging Paths Stage 2 — outlet guides disagree on the exact count needed (6 / 7 / 9 — TBC).
Ermal (Trader)
A Nomadic Envoy merchant who visits Speranza weekly to sell rare blueprints, cosmetics, and extra stash space for ARC components. Live Update 1.33.0 added a UI fix so Ermal's offers now display item stack sizes (e.g. "Raider Tokens x25").
Speranza
The central underground colony where Raiders live, trade with vendors, and upgrade gear before heading Topside. It's the game's foundational hub and the home of the Nomadic Envoys storyline that Converging Paths ties into.
Comet
A heavily armored, fast-rolling ARC machine that acts as a suicide bomber, self-detonating at close range. Introduced in an earlier update (not 1.33.0), but frequently farmed for Comet Igniters.
Spectrum Analyzer
An Epic-tier "Exodus" loot item used for recycling into Sensors and Exodus Modules, found on the Stella Montis map. Introduced in an earlier patch — not part of the Forgotten Relics event, but trending alongside it.
Fragmented Logs (Quest)
A multi-step mission on Stella Montis where you repair out-of-service terminals and boot mainframe data while avoiding Shredders. A pre-existing quest, not added in 1.33.0.
A Warm Place to Rest (Quest)
An exploration quest in the Buried City where you follow red marker flags from an abandoned highway camp to inspect a survivor's grave. A pre-existing side quest, unrelated to the event.
Entity definitions sourced from official ARC Raiders pages plus community references (metaforge.app, RockPaperShotgun, GameTyrant). Only terms verified by those sources are listed; unverified community-only terms (e.g. "Old Town") are omitted.
Forgotten Relics FAQ
How do I find relics?
Relics spawn Topside in containers — lockers, drawers, and crates. Grab them during a raid and extract successfully to convert their rarity-based value into Merits.
Do I lose Merits if I die with a relic?
You only claim a relic's Merits if you extract with it. If you don't extract, you don't get that relic's Merits — but Merits already earned from XP and previously extracted relics are safe.
When does the event end?
The official Converging Paths window is June 16 – July 27, 2026. Most outlets list the event through July 27; GamesRadar reports July 28, so plan around the final weekend either way.
