ARC Raiders 2.3.0: shield buffs, blueprint changes and deeper loot
Heavy Shield gets more charge, Flame Spray hits harder, and Embark shifts valuable Emperor and Frigate loot farther inside.

ARC Raiders update 2.3.0 is out on October 27. Embark says to restart the game to download it. The update introduces the Soul’s Offering player project and the Noxious Set, alongside balance changes, loot adjustments and stability work. This is an original summary of Embark’s official notes, cross-checked against its official Steam news feed.
Heavy Shield and Flame Spray get buffs
- Heavy Shield: base charge increases from 80 to 90.
- Flame Spray: damage increases from 10 to 13 per second, while durability drain falls by 50%. Embark also fixes the ability to damage targets through walls.
- Adrenaline: it can now be used at maximum stamina. Using it again refreshes its duration rather than stacking the effect.
Emperor and Frigate reward deeper exploration
Containers near the Emperor entrance now offer lower-tier rewards, with higher-tier loot placed deeper inside. The Frigate also gives deeper areas a higher chance of higher-tier rewards. Embark does not supply numerical drop rates for these changes.
The Frigate also receives clearer puzzle-hatch feedback, more precise long-range pings and collision improvements. These changes are separate from whether a Frigate condition is currently active; check the dated map-condition tracker before planning a raid.
Six blueprints become eligible in any major map condition
Dolabra, Bobcat, Equalizer, Jupiter, Tempest and Vulcano blueprints can now appear in any major map condition. Embark also slightly lowers the chance of this blueprint pool. Broader eligibility does not establish better odds on every run, and the notes do not give percentages.
Redirection pods have a reduced chance of awarding the Emperor Key blueprint, with a small chance of ARC parts and higher-tier loot added to their rewards.
Crash fixes, with Xbox issues still listed
Embark reduces audio-memory use on Xbox Series S, particularly around the Frigate, and reduces memory pressure and rare crashes associated with Frigate cargo. The update also fixes a rare voice-chat crash.
For AMD RX 7000 graphics cards, the notes describe a workaround that mitigates a ray-tracing GPU crash. This is not a claim that every crash is resolved: some Xbox crashes remain on the official known-issues list.
Soul’s Offering and the patch schedule
Soul’s Offering is the new player project in 2.3.0. Check its in-game requirements before committing materials; this summary does not assume objectives or rewards that the notes do not establish.
Embark says patches return to an every-three-weeks cadence after this update, while store updates continue weekly. That statement does not confirm an exact next release date or rule out hotfixes.
Known issues to check before troubleshooting
The notes still list some Xbox instability and quest problems, including partial extraction progress for To the Skies and the Photograph Port A objective in When Everything Falls. Read the full official known-issues section for the complete list and current wording.
Patch availability does not establish live server health. Use ArcStatus server status for current availability, the patch hub for earlier updates, and the Frozen Trail launch guide for background. Older launch warnings should be read with their original dates.
